Yasmin is a Palawa and mixed-race woman working and living on Bunurong Boon wurrung Country. She is a descendant of the Trawlwoolway and Tyereelore peoples of north eastern lutruwita (Tasmania).

Yasmin holds an Advanced Diploma of Visual Arts (Fine Arts), is experienced in painting, printmaking,digital illustration, jewellery and weaving. Her recent works explore contemporary jewellery with a cross-cultural lens. Her work explores themes of migration, both voluntary and involuntary, as well as traditional objects of value. She honours natural forms and materials, producing symbolic collectable jewellery pieces.
